Didaktos AI is not only a lesson plan generator. It brings together 50 teaching resources tools in six categories, one for each part of a teacher’s week: today’s warm-up, next month’s plan, the worksheet for Friday, the rubric for the project, the note to families and the adapted version for the student who needs it. This page shows what each category contains and walks you through creating your first resource, step by step, with screenshots of the app.
The six categories of teaching resources
When you open Didaktos AI, the first screen shows six cards. Each card opens a category with its own set of tools.
| Category | What it is for | Example tools |
|---|---|---|
| Quick start | Activities for today’s class in about a minute | Quick Warm-up, 5-Question Quiz, Problem of the Day, Closing Activity |
| Planning | Lessons, sequences and long-term plans | Daily Lesson Plan, Didactic Sequence, Complete Unit Plan, PBL Project Guide, Yearly Plan |
| Resources | Materials students work with | Worksheet, Reading Comprehension, Graphic Organizer, Vocabulary Flashcards, Differentiated Material |
| Assessment | Checking and grading learning | Formative Quiz, Summative Exam, Analytic Rubric, Checklist, Bloom Question Bank |
| Communication | Writing for families and colleagues | Parent Letter / Notice, Progress Report, Meeting Minutes, Intervention Plan |
| Inclusion | Adapting content for every learner | Adapted Material (Dyslexia/ADHD), UDL Adjustment, Plain Language Summary, Shadow / Aide Guide |

How to create a teaching resource in 5 steps
The steps are the same for every tool. As an example, we will create a 45-minute science lesson on how volcanoes form for 5th grade, then turn it into a rubric.
Step 1: Choose a category
Click the card that matches what you need. For a lesson, that is Planning. Didaktos opens the editor with the first tool of that category already selected.
Step 2: Pick the exact tool
Open Resource Type at the top of the form. It lists every tool in the category. Choose Daily Lesson Plan. You can switch tools at any time without losing what you have typed.
Tip: the tool decides the shape of the result. A Daily Lesson Plan comes out as a lesson with phases and timing; a Weekly Plan comes out as a table, one row per day.
Step 3: Describe your class
Set the Subject, Grade Level and Context / Standard (NGSS, Common Core, TEKS, your national curriculum and many more). Choose a methodology tag if you want the lesson built around it, such as Inquiry, PBL or UDL. Then write a few clear lines in Topic / Instructions:
45-minute lesson on how volcanoes form for 5th graders. Start with a short video question, explain magma, pressure and tectonic plates, include a hands-on model activity in groups and a 3-question exit ticket.
Tip: say how long the class is, what students already know and how you want to check learning. Those three details make the biggest difference. Our prompting guide has more examples.
With a Pro plan you can also attach your school’s template, a page of your textbook or your own notes (photo, PDF, Word or text), and Didaktos follows them. See how to generate from your files.
Step 4: Generate and review
Press Generate Resource. In a few seconds the result appears on the right. Use the three views to check it: Document to read it, Outline to scan the structure and Print to see the printed page.
When you are happy with it, Copy it, Download it as a Word file to edit, or print it. If something is not quite right, press Edit and ask for the change in plain words, for example “make the explanation shorter” or “add a partner activity”. You do not need to start again.
Step 5: Turn one resource into many
Below the preview there is a row of quick actions. Each one takes the resource you just made and creates a new one from it:
- Simplify (UDL): an accessible version with shorter sentences and clearer steps.
- Create quiz: questions with an answer key based on the lesson.
- Create rubric: criteria and performance levels for the task.
- Translate: the same resource in Spanish or English.
- Expand: more detail, examples and explanation.
In our example, one click on Create rubric gives a rubric for the volcano model with three criteria. One lesson, one rubric and, with Create quiz, an exit quiz: three resources from one description.
Save your settings for next time
After generating, press Template to save the tool, subject, grade, standard and methodology. Next week, load the template, change the topic and generate. The clock icon at the top opens your History, with your recent resources ready to open again.
Frequently asked questions
How many teaching resources can I create for free?
The free plan includes 10 generations every 30 days. Starter gives you 50, and Pro is unlimited and adds file attachments. Compare the plans on the pricing page.
Can I create resources in Spanish?
Yes. Switch the app to ES with the language selector at the top, and every tool works in Spanish. The Translate action also converts any resource between English and Spanish.
