Some days you need an activity in the next five minutes, not a full lesson plan. Quick start is the Didaktos AI category for exactly that: four tools that turn one line of text into quick classroom activities you can use today. A warm-up to open the lesson, a rich problem, a short quiz and a closing activity to check what stuck.
Below you will see how it works in three steps, and what each tool produces, using the same topic for all four: equivalent fractions in 4th grade.
How to create quick classroom activities in 3 steps
Step 1: Open Quick start
Open Didaktos AI and click the Quick start card, the first of the six categories. The editor opens with Quick Warm-up selected.
Quick start holds the four tools for activities you need today.
Step 2: Pick the activity and write one line
In Resource Type, choose one of the four tools. Set the subject and grade level once, then write the topic in a single line in Topic / Instructions. That is enough:
Equivalent fractions, 4th grade.
Pick the activity and write one line with the topic and grade.
Tip: add one detail if you have it, such as “students mix up numerators and denominators” or “use pizza examples”. The activity will address it.
Step 3: Generate and use it
Press Generate Resource. In a few seconds the activity is ready to project, copy, print or download as Word. To make the next one, change the tool in Resource Type and generate again: your subject, grade and topic stay in place.
What each Quick start tool gives you
Used together, the four tools cover a whole lesson: open, practise, check and close. Here is what each one produced for the same fractions topic.
Quick Warm-up: start the class in 3 to 5 minutes
A hook question or challenge, the answers you can expect from students (including common misconceptions) and a sentence that connects to the main lesson.
Quick Warm-up: a hook, the answers to expect and the bridge to your lesson.
Problem of the Day: one problem worth thinking about
A single problem at the right level, a step-by-step solution for you, the mistakes to watch for and an extension for students who finish early. It works as a bell-ringer, a station or homework.
Problem of the Day: one rich problem with the solution, mistakes to watch for and an extension.
5-Question Quiz: a quick check with an answer key
Exactly five questions: three multiple choice with the correct answer marked and two open questions, from recall to analysis, plus the answer key.
5-Question Quiz: three multiple-choice questions, two open questions and the key.
Closing Activity: know who understood before they leave
An exit ticket or reflection prompt, a fast check for understanding (thumbs up, 3-2-1 and similar) and a teaser that connects to the next lesson.
Closing Activity: an exit ticket, a quick check and a teaser for tomorrow.
Choose Quick start, write your topic in one line and generate your first activity.
